Financial Accountant job in Shrewsbury, for expanding manufacturing business - exclusive to Hays Shropshire.

Working exclusively with Hays, an expanding manufacturing business in Shrewsbury is going through a restructure in finance due to company growth, the business is a leading company within Shropshire and has an entrepreneurial culture - where employees are encouraged to grown and develop with the business.
Your new role
Reporting to the finance director the role will encompass monthly financial accounting, VAT returns and some reporting for management, you will be tasked with looking at systems and process efficiency, cashflow forecasting, bank and control account reconciliations, stock reports, month end journals, accruals and prepayments and running the monthly payroll. You will also assist with the year end audit and cover purchase and sales ledger when needed. You will line manage two accounts assistants.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have a strong financial accounting background, have a good level of experience in all of the above duties and be keen to make a lasting impact at a growing SME business. It is integral that you have, or are prepared to take on, staff management responsibilities, and you will ideally be CIMA/ACCA part qualified or hold an AAT qualification.
What you'll get in return

There will be a salary of GBP27,000 to GBP33,000 as well as 25 days annual leave plus statutory bank holidays. There are additional benefits and a pension and healthcare package.
