Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your career ? Greenwellgleeson are currently looking to recruit a Financial Accountant / Treasury Manager to join the Finance Team. Although the role is managing the day to day function of the Treasury dept our client would like to emphasise the importance of building relationships and growing the team.

About the Role

Proactively manage the Treasury function on a day to day basis. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a proven track record in a retail Treasury/Finance arena.

The main accountabilities of the role include:

* Ensure Financial Controls are in place to mitigate the risk of duplicate payments through the Treasury process

* Provide excellent customer service at all times when personally dealing with credit card queries

* Ensure Robust Treasury processes are in place to assist defence of queries or charge backs where necessary

* Provide Group Treasury with an accurate cash forecast on a weekly basis to support the most efficient use of cash within the business and minimise finance costs

* Ensure that my Balance Sheet Recs are accurate and are on time

* Develop a good working relationship with colleagues, stakeholders and external providers

* Be aware of technological developments that could impact/improve the Treasury function

* Take a long-term view of the business and ensure that all information and knowledge is documented together with an audit trail of transactions and decisions

* Report any instances of non-compliance through the appropriate channels

About You

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

* Experience of working in a treasury function preferred but not essential

* Experience of working within a Finance Department in a fast-paced multi-site Business

* Good Financial and Analytical Skills

* Good understanding of Financial and IT Systems, especially Microsoft Excel

* Strong Drive to ensure we deliver continuous improvement and get things done

* Flexibility to change processes and ways of working when required by business whilst still maintaining sound financial control

* The ability to action positive changes to processes and ways of working to reduce workload and costs
