About the role:

Responsible for service performance with self -employed couriers

-Standard, Next Day, Next Dir, Collections

-Working with the Compliance Manager on Compliance targets

-Conducting regular service reviews

-Keeping enquiries to a minimum through driving exceptional customer experience

Responsible for Interviewing, selecting and onboarding couriers that fit the courier profile.

-Recruiting couriers with a customer focused mindset and will drive the standards for delivering a positive customer experience

-Ensure that all new couriers are trained on process and equipment

-Couriers are aware of required SLAs and requirements.

-You build up courier coverage in order to minimize business risk and ensure that all requirements are continually met.

Responsible for cost to serve including courier fees and negotiations

-Courier Fees, cost per parcel.

-Rate Reviews in cooperation with the regional planner

-Cost control, adhocs, other payments

Responsible for Service performance in nominated Sub Depots

-Courier operations

-Sub depot compliance

-Sub depot operations

Provide professional advice and guidance to the self-employed courier especially during their induction period.

Keep an uncompromising focus on delivering our results and show resilience to drive an even higher level of performance and value.

Skills and Experience

·Previous people-management experience with a particular emphasis on support, motivation and being the main conduit for issue resolution.

·Experience in interviewing and recruitment decision making.

·Problem solving and planning effective contingencies and solutions.

·Negotiation of courier round rates, in line with business requirements

·Professional appearance, articulate and able to communicate confidently at all levels.

·Competent negotiation skills

·Competent in data interrogation and basic understanding of excel.

Desirable requirement

·Proven relationship management and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

·Exceptional Customer service experience.
