This leading Global manufacturer of injection moulded plastic parts is actively seeking an Injection Mould Tool Maker to join a very busy and expanding toolroom, responsible for the repair, maintenance and improvement of all tooling in line with production and customer requirements and to support business objectives.
Working with single and multi-cavity tooling, you will support the production areas in technical assessment of tooling issues to ensure production capability is maximised at all times and that un-planned downtime is minimized.
As Tool Maker, your duties will include:
- Tooling strip down and diagnosis for repair.
- Tooling improvements.
- Preventive maintenance of tooling
- Complete tool reports and ordering of spare parts.
- Maintenance data control of moulds.
- Polishing and cleaning to a quality finish.
- Maintain Spare parts system
- Comply with the quality and environment standards procedures and instructions.
Ideally, I am wishing to engage with an established Tool Maker (apprentice trained an ideal) with existing or previous injection mould tool making experience and fully conversant with conventional tool room machinery (milling, grinding, turning etc.) and the ability to read/understand technical drawings.
My client will also consider a more junior hire, someone with enthusiasm and a desire to become a vital component of the tooling team. Full training (including external) is available-and my client has a proven track record in developing engineers.
