My client is a renowned, leading manufacturer of ductile iron and castings products. They require a Foundry Manager for their busy operations. Day to day duties will include the following: - To ensure robust process controls are in place for all aspects of manufacturing (Essential) - To minimise foundry scrap and waste efforts in all foundry departments (Essential) - To reduce the cost of manufacture (Essential) - Optimise and co ordinate all process within the foundry to ensure quality is optimised at lowest cost and ensuring best practise and safe working conditions are adhred to at all times (Essential) - Deputise for quality manager (Essential) - Work with the sales team to expand the range of materials produced (Essential) - Train, mentor and develop existing team (Essential) - Develop permanent solutions for customer concerns and advise on impact on %GM (Essential) As a person you will need the following qualities and experience: - Previous Foundry management experience within a ductile iron/castings organisation (Essential) - Proven track record of process implementation and minimising wastage and scrappage (Essential) - Able to mentor, train and discipline staff where appropriate and work out labor requirements (Essential) - Effective communicator at all levels (Essential) Manufacturing Workforce are responsible for placing skilled and in demand people on both a permanent and contract basis into the Engineering, Technical and Manufacturing sectors, from skilled Shop Floor Personnel and Specialist Engineers to Supervisory and Management positions.
