Systems Engineer with proven knowledge of electronically controlled brake systems required to work on the development of world-class braking products for the Commercial Vehicle sector. Our Client designs, develops and manufactures a range of braking products which are supplied to major commercial vehicle OEMs around the world. They have a worldwide footprint and have a wide range of braking and associated products in their portfolio. They are now looking to engage an experienced Systems Engineer to undertake this crucial role. Systems Engineer Role: As Systems Engineer, you will Design and develop control aspects of advanced electronically controlled brake systems and sub-systems, primarily using simulation tools. Contribute to a bridge building culture and act with 5C behaviour. Engage in results driven continuous improvements and purposeful application. Develop system concepts for commercial vehicle braking controllers and derive system specifications. Model system performance and behaviour, including SiL and HiL. Support engineers from other disciplines in system development and testing. Systems Engineer Requirements: A degree level or higher qualification in an engineering, physical or mathematical discipline. Strong understanding of mathematical model-based design techniques. Deep and practical understanding of MATLAB and Simulink. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Good communication skills in writing and verbally. Self-motivated. Understanding of vehicle dynamics and/or mechanics. Appreciation of commercial vehicle braking systems. Appreciation of the requirements of real-time systems.
