Logistics Coordinator (Transport / Logistics/ Freight forwarding)

We are currently recruiting for experienced Logistics Coordinators to join a local progressive Logistics / Transport and Freight Forwarding company with an exciting future of expansion ahead of them. Ideally with sound knowledge of the Transport and Freight forwarding industry, and with exceptional account management skills, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to resolve and prioritise conflicting requirements.


You must be able to control the management, planning and tracking of movement of goods using methods of freight such as Hand carry, Airfreight and Road travel in order to achieve the best result for the customer. It is essential that you are in control at all times and able to communicate at the highest level.

Some key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):


* Managing customer enquiries and orders by phone and email
* Booking and tracking shipments
* Sourcing and communicating with suppliers required for transport
* Responding to customer enquiries, providing quotations and keeping them updated on job progress
* Reviewing routes and suppliers
* Ensuring clear and accurate communication with the warehouse
* Ensuring that all jobs are completed and checked prior to invoicing
* Managing and monitoring KPIs

Essential skills, experience and aptitude:


* Previous experience in a similar role
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Exceptional communication skills at all levels
* Sound knowledge of the Transport and Freight forwarding industry
* A positive 'can do' attitude
* An ability to prioritise and self-manage
* Flexibility and a team player

Location - Worcester
Salary band - £23 - £30k (depending on experience)
40 hour week
