I am currently recruiting for an experienced Events Assistant for a leading Law Firm based within Birmingham City Centre on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for the management and execution of all events activities across all of the legal and non-legal practices. Working with the Marketing team, they will help to develop a range of events in line with the teams business plans to promote their capabilities across their respective markets, creating brand awareness, generating new business opportunities and supporting existing client relationships. Although primarily based in the Birmingham office, the role will require travel to our other offices.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide proactive support to the firm which will include:

Supporting the Events Executive/ Manager and wider CMD team with events design and planning and new event idea generation including new event proposals.
Development and management of all event support materials including event invitations.
Own the development of events RSVP processes ensuring all systems (i.e. website, event booking systems) operate effectively and efficiently keeping internal clients up to date.
Liaise with the Communications Team to ensure that social media pre and post event activity is delivered.
Support Events Executive/ Manager in running our high value hospitality events programme for key clients.
Booking event venues and liaison with venue event teams.
Support key events on-site ensuring that all events run smoothly working with local fee earners and CMD representative(s).
Own and co-ordinate the supply of events merchandise and support materials such as gifts, stands and other support materials.
Assisting with the post events analysis including feedback capture and evaluation of ROI
Assisting with the management of event budgets.
Managing the events calendar for the firm.

Key Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a marketing environment and in particular managing and organising events. He/she will also be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

Educated to degree level or equivalent or a recognised qualification in marketing (CIM)
Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office
Flexible approach to work and working hours
Strong work ethic ‘with a can do attitude’
Good communicator with confidence to deal with people at all levels
Excellent team player
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
Work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
Enthusiastic and sociable

This is a permanent role paying a salary of up to £18k for the right candidate. The role is based in Birmingham city centre and full time, 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
