Are you looking at finding that opportunity to start a career in education?

Not too sure where to start?

Reed Education could have just the answer…

Have you thought about working as a Cover Supervisor?

What is a Cover Supervisor?

Many schools across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire work with Cover Supervisors to help fill those day-to-day requirements, and it is a crucial role to keep the cogs turning in the school.

As a Cover Supervisor, you would have the opportunity to work in classrooms across the school, getting vital experience across a range of areas. Your role is not to teach, but to supervise the students. With lesson plans in place, you will be responsible for making sure students stay on task and will work with the school using their systems to manage behaviour and ensure a safe environment.

Work is usually available on a day-to-day basis, so is ideal if you are available for at least 3 days per week and are looking for flexible work and school experience.

What is involved in the training?

This is a fantastic full day course, based within a Stoke school, where you will be learning all about the role. It is completely free of charge and is designed to cover everything you need!

What’s more, you will have the opportunity to meet and discuss the role with other Cover Supervisors, school staff and Reed Consultants to help make sure you know everything there is to know!

What do I need?

Previous training days have been incredibly popular and get booked up fast – spaces are strictly limited and are offered on a first come, first served basis!

We would love to hear from you if you can meet the following requirements:

• Be available for at least 3 days per week Monday – Friday.
o Cover Supervisors need to be able to work school hours, typically being available for an 8.30am arrival and 4pm departure from school. Being available for work on more days simply helps improve your chances!
• Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car
o Based on the nature of the role, you will be required to travel to schools across the area and having access to a car will really open up opportunities for work.
• Be happy to receive calls for work either in advance or on the same day
o As this is often covering sickness, you will need to be flexible to receive calls in the morning for work on the same day – we call from 7am and give you as much time as possible to get to school!

Previous experience working in a school is always great, but isn’t essential as full training is being provided.

You would receive a competitive daily rate of pay, access to a range of benefits and a dedicated consultant to be on hand!
