Electrical Design Engineer Travel security is becoming a bigger and bigger global market and we are looking for a motivated and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to be part of it. You will be joining a company that manufactures complex security systems that protect the public . Not only will you be working in a growing market you will be working to keep the world of travel significantly safer. As an expereinced Engineer you will be contributing to the Electrical Design process, including building project files, creating schematics and block cable diagrams, updating current drawing whilst following recognised and current IEC drawing standards. Part of a team of 3 you will be working in a fast paced engineering environment with plenty of changes and new procedures to embrace and keep you busy. Responsibilities: + To create electrical schematics and update others for control panels and external functions. + To compile these into a project file from which you will generate cutting lists and cable schedules. + Block cable diagrams are to be created based on the system schematics. + Liaise with production engineers to update schematic drawings, BCD's and cable schedules + To carry out and compile EHSR reports on all products. As an Electrical Design Engineer you will be able to showcase experience with: + E-Plan experience most desired with AutoCAD Electrical experience also desirable for the older drawings. + Experience with producing site layouts (showing cable routings, positions of components at the site and to help civils). + Experience designing electrical systems such as control panels, control systems, PLC, ELV & LV etc. + Experience of revision management of drawings and following procedures. + Degree preferred, but HNC/HND with relevant experience considered (5 years minimum).
