2nd Line Desk Side Support Engineer : The essentials.

* Knowledge of working in a Corporate IT environment
* Ability to communicate with customers at all levels
* Strong business focus and customer service skills
* Good numeracy, analytical and reporting skills
* A valid driving license is essential as travel will be required

2nd Line Desk Side Support Engineer : Your experience.

* Proven experience of IT Service Management processes & data analysis
* Working knowledge of database/excel structures/tables/configurations
* Experience of working to (and exceeding) Service Level Agreements

2nd Line Desk Side Support Engineer : The desirables.

* Certification from Microsoft
* ITIL V3 Foundation Qualification
* Working knowledge of Service Now
* Current Security Clearance accreditation

2nd Line Desk Side Support Engineer : The role.

* Management of all 2nd line incidents and general troubleshooting of the desktop computing environment, based on incidents logged via a global service desk.
* Taking full ownership of requests assigned within a range of application and telephony issues and providing customers with continual updates through to resolution, ensuring full adherence to RFS & INC Best Practice guidelines.
* Supporting the Senior Desk Side and Technology Support Engineer with projects including, but not limited to, set-up of new sites, maintenance of equipment & conference room facilities, mitigating risks and delivering delivering training to customers across the region.
* This is a Birmingham City Center based role, working on a rota basis to include cover at other times when necessary, to include some travel to other regional offices.
* Successful candidates will be required to undergo a security vetting process and offers of employment will be subject to relevant security clearance being granted.
* Salary £22,500 to £26,500 based on experience
* 25 days annual leave
