Associate / Senior Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant
A Birmingham based consultancy is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the company in our Flood Risk & Drainage team.
The Company is a leading consultancy providing infrastructure, environmental, management and development finance services. The company offers integrated multi-disciplinary professional services, focused on promoters of major development property and infrastructure projects across the UK and Europe. The business has a secured workload for the foreseeable future in the planning and delivering some of the most exciting projects currently being completed.
The successful candidates will join the local business, being situated in a modern office in Birmingham. This permanent role will offer the opportunity to work on various major development opportunities, taking the project lead in driving forward the Flood Risk & Drainage roles being promoted by the business through the pre-planning stages of project delivery.
The successful candidate is likely to have developed skills in most of the following areas:
* Flood modelling using ISIS and/or ICM (essential).
* Drainage network / source control modelling using WinDES (preferable).
* Standards and guidance such as PPS25 / NPPF / CIRIA C522, C609, C697.
* High quality report writing.
* Working with diverse project delivery teams, including director level client interfaces.
Qualifications / Experience Candidates will need appropriate qualifications and experience of working in a similar role within a public service or consultancy business. The opportunity exists for more experienced candidates to take a wider project and team management role. Applications from persons with less experience and a desire to expand into these areas would also be welcome.
