An exciting new opportunity has become available in our Industrial Customers business for an Inspirational Leader to join us as Business Development Director leading the business development team and working with our experienced operational units to deliver ambitious growth for the UK business.
They are seeking a pro-active strategist for this position, capable of successfully negotiating complex high value contracts at a senior level as well as mentoring the existing team to deliver value orientated propositions to our new and future customers.
The successful applicant will enjoy the opportunity to design and implement the business development strategy to ensure delivery of company growth targets for 2017 and beyond.
They are not seeking applicants to maintain the status quo, rather to push the boundaries in order to deliver a high-performing team. Taking a leading role in customer interface both during complex tendering and in an on-going capacity, the Business Development Director will lead from the front to foster healthy and collaborative relationship dynamics with our customers. The ability to mentor and develop the existing team to deliver high performance and a consistently value-added approach to waste, water and energy resource management to enhance the service offering to the market as an essential criteria for any applicant. As is the gravitas to build and maintain excellent internal stakeholder relationships, leveraging these to support multi-stream waste management services.
The successful applicant will demonstrate senior level experience in complex high value sales (up to £20 million annualised turnover) as well as knowledge of bid procedure.
Sales experience must be within value-add solution selling within the industrial/engineering services industries or an environment with synergy.
A demonstrable track record of growth delivery within the pharmaceutical, F&B, power generation and industrial manufacturing markets is highly desirable. However an essential criteria is the ability to drive team performance with strong and people management skills, fostering strong teamwork, continual self-improvement and a pro-active approach to customer relationship management.
They are seeking a strategic thinker for this role, applicants will need to prioritise their time to ensure growth targets are delivered through a defined and structured sales strategy and be willing and able to travel nationally when required.
Salary starting from £85,000 plus added bonuses depending on experience.
