Infrastructure Administrator As a market leader in insurance software systems, we know that to lead the future, we need to look to the future. We are looking for an Infrastructure Administrator, who has a background in Windows and Linux server environments and working knowledge of technologies such as VMware and Citrix as well as a strong technical awareness of Internet applications. Based in our Worcester offices you will work in our Service Operations Centre and be responsible for maintaining and administering Internal and Hosted enterprise infrastructures as necessary and act as an escalation route for first-line teams. Your role will involve: - Management of enterprise Internal and Hosted solutions and associated applications as necessary - Acting as an escalation point for first-line teams for internal and external client related support requests and incidents - Seeking to resolve incidents and requests within agreed operating procedures and evaluate incidents for escalation to the level three SOC team should a level two resolution not be possible - Protecting integrity of environments to ensure maximum stability and availability - Responding to raised issues within accordance to appropriate SLA's and KPI's and maintain accurate computerised records for incidents - Producing system baseline metrics and continually monitor performance and capacity in line with business and system requirements - Performing software releases and configuration changes in line with predefined procedures The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience: - Proven experience of providing second-line support within a Service Desk or SOC environment - Proven experience with Windows Server operating systems and products (2003/2008 etc) - Proven Linux server operating system and applications skillset (MySQL, Tomcat, SSH etc). Knowledge of Citrix and VMware based solutions - Strong understanding of standard Microsoft application software and Active Directory, including use of remote desktop tools - Experience in administering and supporting Microsoft SQL and Exchange environments - Strong experience of Internet applications, web sites and technologies - Strong experience of networking, associated support, diagnosis and resolution (TCP/IP protocols, IP, DNS, routing etc) - Ability to work within an SLA driven environment and to consistently meet personal and team targets - Excellent communicator with positive 'can do' attitude - Flexible approach to daily tasks - A thorough and responsible attitude towards security - Proactive attitude to incidents, seeks to avoid service impacts before they occur - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment; calm under pressure Benefits include: - Competitive salary (based on skills and experience) - Bonus opportunity - Company pension - Life assurance and critical illness cover - Perkbox - An exclusive benefits platform offering a wide range of discounts and benefits - Free parking - Onsite restaurant (including Starbucks coffee) - Childcare vouchers - Bike loan To apply for this role please click the "apply now" button and email us with your covering letter and CV.
