Your new role
This job in Birmingham will require you to work within the science department as a Science specialist Teaching Assistant, working closely with pupil premium students in the preparation for their GCSEs. You will primarily be working with small groups, and on a 1 to 1 basis, using your subject knowledge to guide them to achieve their highest potential results. You will be required to work from in line with the class teacher carrying out science interventions, giving regular progress reports to the head of department.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this teaching assistant job you will be educated to degree level, specialising in Science and be familiar with the KS3/4 National Curriculum. It is essential to have proven referenceable experience of working within a school setting within the past two years. You will have excellent communication skills and be driven and ambitious. Experience working within the Science department is desirable.
