Depot Engineer West Bromwich £22000 to 26000 Basic Salary + Voluntary Overtime Paid at Premium Rate + Life Assurance + Company Pension + Healthcare + All Uniform Provided + Training Opportunities Available + Holidays Increasing With Service Tenure + Monday to Friday 8am to 4.45pm (Friday 7.45am to 4.30pm) Depot Engineer required for a national provider of mobile plant equipment. The company invest extensively in their staff, and provide excellent training and the opportunity to earn up to £30000 with voluntary overtime. Candidates who have worked with mobile plant machinery are encouraged to apply, though the company will consider anyone from automotive/HGV, construction machinery, agricultural, or ex forces backgrounds who have experience working on heavy mobile machinery. The successful candidate must hold an engineering apprenticeship or relevant qualification, and basic experience of welding is desirable but not essential. The company are looking for plant engineers with a mechanical bias, but basic electrical understanding - strong mechanical-only candidates will be considered as training can be provided. The Role: * Carry out service and repair on mobile plant equipment * Working on hydraulics, pneumatics, and engines, with some basic electrical diagnostic work * Based at the West Bromwich depot, with very rare site visits when required * Expected to help out with manual labour when required The Candidate: * Ideally experience working on mobile plant machinery, though candidates with working on heavy mobile machinery will be considered - e.g. HGVs, construction machinery, agricultural * Basic electrical diagnostic skills are desirable but not essential * Must hold an engineering apprenticeship or relevant qualification * Must hold a full UK driving licence
