An Emissions Aftertreatment Engineer opportunity has become available for a leading automotive OEM. The engineering position will be a permanent role based in Whitley, Coventry offering £31,500 - £41,500 + benefits (depending on experience)

Using state-of-the-art facilities, you'll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.

As an Emissions Aftertreatment Engineer, you'll either be part of our Control System development team or the Gasoline/Diesel Engine Management Systems teams within Powertrain. Whichever team you join, you'll be responsible for the specification, development and delivery of cost effective emissions aftertreatment systems enabling vehicles to meet the ever tightening legislative tailpipe emissions standards.

You'll support the development of emissions aftertreatment systems. Operating in a cross-functional organisation, you'll support the delivery of aftertreatment systems through testing, project and supplier management, and the development / use of CAE tools (Axisuite), ensuring the systems are delivered on time and to the correct quality. You'll also support with the technical content and integrity of specific components and systems across all future powertrain application programmes.

Alongside previous experience in the development of emissions aftertreatment components, systems and/or CAE tools, you'll also possess good communication and interpersonal skills, strong influencing and engagement skills, and knowledge of failure mode avoidance tools and techniques.
