We have a fantastic opportunity for a Tariff Manager to join a leading organisation in their joint venture based in Stoke-on-Trent.

The client is a well-established leader in Energy and Utilities having joined forces with 2 of the leading figures in the industry. They specialise in account management and efficiency advice for business customers across the UK. The role offers the chance for the right individual on a permanent basis.

The overall objective of the Tariff Manager is to lead the economic regulation function within the Regulation and Compliance department to ensure the set of default tariffs negotiated are reflective of the company's long-term objectives.


  • Manage price controls on behalf of the company
  • Lead cost analysis and financial modelling activities
  • Lead assurance and governance activities
  • Provide expert advice and guidance related to price controls
  • Provide expert advice and input into queries, complaints or disputes
  • Prepare the annual company's scheme of charges
  • Lead development of formal submissions
  • Represent the business in relevant forums
  • Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders
  • Play an active part in building a high performing strategy

Skills, Knowledge and Behaviour

  • Extensive experience in financial modelling
  • Extensive experience in cost and pricing analysis
  • A solid background in the Finance industry
  • Knowledge of regulatory matters
  • Knowledge or related utility sectors
  • Existing relationships with key eternal stakeholders
  • A strong analytical background
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage formal processes
  • Ability to risk manage
  • Ability to motivate and develop others to build high performing teams
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
