You will be responsible for organizing and coordinating our team of domiciliary care assistants and making sure our customer care and support is covered appropriately and safely and to the highest possible standard. If you are thinking of moving to a different employer within care or starting in the profession for the first time, we are here to offer you experiences that will provide job satisfaction and development whilst looking after our customers across Birmingham in the best possible way.Understanding, organising and recording the availability of all new care workersAssigning Care Workers to customers, whilst working within our standardsWorking closely and communicating with a wide range of customersOrganising rotas for care workers on a weekly basisInputting contingencies for care worker absences and changesWorking closely and communicating with other members of the team to ensure the highest quality of careService:Accepting, allocating and processing referrals for new workAccepting and processing changes and amendments to existing care packagesCovering and processing all short term changes to care packagesKeeping records and paper files up to date with changing informationPreparation of reports as requiredGeneral office dutiesOn call, on a three weekly basisKey Competencies:To understand the needs of customersTo understand the workings and policies of the companyTo understand how our relationship with Social Services works.To maintain files and computerised records to make sure they are up to date at all times.To meet new care workers and start their work as quickly as possible.To establish and maintain good working relationships with customers.To establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues.To be able to prepare reports as required.Essential Skills and Attributes:Ability to give clear and concise instructionsExperience in administrationLogical thought processesNo criminal convictionsExcellent communication skillsExcellent telephone mannerExcellent computer skillsDesirable:Experience as a care coordinatorStaffplan Roster experience or similar Rostering SystemOwn transportFlexible availabilityIncentivesPaid 28 days holidaysContinuous professional development (NVQ's in Customer Service)
