As a Programme Manager you will play a key asset in ensuring the successful project delivery, from problem identification through to completion within the Capital Programme Portfolio. Your role will involve leading an integrated team consisting of Severn Trent Water and contractor based staff to deliver projects across the Severn Trent region. As your role will cover the company's assets within our regional reach, projects will vary in size and scale up to a combined value of 10M a year. Your role will ensure a safe and efficient execution of the Capital Programme, and to work collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure programme delivery and regulatory requirements are met. Working alongside our design and build partner, you will engage with key stakeholders to optimise a programme of works which ensures efficient delivery whilst also driving continuous improvement and supporting innovative solutions and ways of thinking.
As a seasoned Project Manager you will make certain that projects delivered are of value for our customers and are built in a manner that means they are safe to operate and maintain for the life of the assets installed. In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have hands on experience working within a Project/Programme Management position previously within an engineering environment. With a proven ability to utilise the best strategies to communicate both positive and challenging messages. Likewise, in order to be successful in this role, it is key that you are able to involve others, ensuring the continual best outcome for Severn Trent Water.
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:
* Experience of Contract Law NEC and Construction Contract terms.
* Experience of supply chain management (with emphasis on financial, H&S, outputs, and quality).
* Risk management knowledge and understanding.
* Strong client relationship management skills.
* Experience of integrating a disparate set of stakeholders to deliver project objectives.
* Strong Financial, Risk Management and analytical skills.
* Strong planning and implementation skills.
* The role requires knowledge of the regulatory regime and accounting practices relevant to the capital programme.
