REED Human Resources is currently working with a successful independant UK wide business who are looking for a Learning & Development Lead to join them on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be required to develop and deliver the L&D offer for the business based on the L&D strategy ensuring that it aligned to the business requirements.

Key accountabilities;

 Develop and deliver an appropriate L&D offer and associated learning interventions
 Develop an effective evaluation process to enable continuous improvement
 Deliver all learning solutions within allocated budget and resource allocation
 Develop, deliver and review learning ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policy
 Develop business relationships to enable delivery of customer-focused solutions

Main responsibilities;

 To manage the design, development and delivery of a blended range of learning and
development solutions which meet learning objectives
 To manage and maintain the appropriate communication of the catalogue of learning
solutions
 Manage the development, implementation and maintenance of e-learning solutions via the learning management system
 Identify, engage and manage the performance of external providers, ensuring that
procurement principles and policies are adhered to
 Develop a framework and process for assessing and measuring the effectiveness of all
 learning and development activities, which ensures that findings are incorporated into future
interventions
 To ensure that all learning and development activity is delivered in line with agreed
timescales and budgets
 Work with the HR Business Partners to develop targeted learning and development
interventions which meet business requirements and objectives
 Work with the pre-identified business requirements and manage the process for undertaking
training needs analysis to ensure that learning interventions meet the needs of the business
 Work with the HR Shared Service team to ensure all learning and development activity is
published on One Learning and available for the target audience to view and register for
 Ensure that all learning and development materials remain consistent with any relevant legal
/ regulatory changes
 Work with the Leadership and Learning Manager to understand the L & D strategy and
interpret this into an appropriate L & D offer and calendar of activity / events
 To ensure the design of all learning events is in line with appropriate brand and tonal
requirements.
 To lead, develop and motivate the learning services team to ensure effective achievement of
team and individual objectives, with specific responsibility for performance management,
development and review of direct reports.
 To undertake any ad hoc duties or projects as requested by the HR Shared Service Manager

The successful candidate will have the following;

CIPD Qualified / certificate in Learning & Development
Experience of managing a team of L&D professionals
Significant experience of the design and delivery of L&D interventions
Experience of working with a variety of training delivery methods
Ability to lead a team in a changing environment

*Relevant degree or equivalent is desirable
