Children's Registered Manager

You will be working for an organisation who offer high quality care and focused solutions to support the children and young people in their care. The Registered Manager role is managing a residential care home in the Birmingham area. The home is 3 bedded for young people aged 10-18 years. This is a full time role with a competitive salary of £32,000 - £38,000 (dependent of experience and qualifications) Pension, profit scheme and occupancy bonuses are also offered
Manager's responsibilities will be
- The running, operation and management of a 3 bedded EBD residential service.
- Ensuring the home is appropriate and sensitive to the needs of the children and young people being looked after and is compliant with the Children's Homes Regulations
-Protecting children and young people from risks to their health, welfare and development both inside and outside the home
-Providing a positive role model for the staff team offering leadership, guidance and management.
-Ensuring that the homes policies and procedures are adhered to and resources are managed effectively
For this role the ideal candidate must have
-Proven experience in a managerial or senior role within an EBD residential home
-Minimum of 2 years experience of working with children and young people within the past 5 years plus 1 year at a senior level in residential care
-Experience of working with EBD children and young people
-It is imperative that you have QCF in Health and Social Care - Caring for Children and young people or equivalent and QCF Diploma level 5 or equivalent.
- Driving licence is essential
