Ashfield is currently recruiting for a Medical Representative to work on behalf our Client Thornton & Ross covering Derby and Nottingham. Thornton & Ross is a leading UK OTC branded business with an increasing presence in branded prescription products - particularly in dermatology.

This is a Medical Representative role reporting into a Regional Sales Manager. You will manage and develop a sales territory and ensure sales targets are achieved through preparation and delivery of robust territory and account plans, working across both the Primary and Secondary care settings.

You will be capable of maximising prescribing opportunities and driving the clinical and commercial demand of your product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively work towards and be accountable for achieving brand specific and commercial objectives.

  • Maximise sales and increase market share for the brand across both Primary and Secondary care.

  • Prepare and deliver robust account plans as agreed with Regional Business Manager.

  • Analyse sales data and monitor territory performance in terms of sales and market share growth.

  • Maintain excellent on-going knowledge of disease therapy areas, company products and competitor activity.

  • Continuously demonstrate strong selling skills in a range of environments whilst maintaining a thorough understanding of the evolving NHS, it’s environment, it’s funding and policy.

  • Demonstrate a high level of teamwork at all times, sharing best practice where appropriate.

  • To attend and contribute to regional meetings, national sales meetings and conferences.

    Essential Skills

  • Sales experience with strong results focus and shows initiative.

  • Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.

  • Strong teamwork skills.
