Primary Teaching Assistant - Birmingham

A two-form entry primary school in inner city Birmingham are seeking two Teaching Assistants to provide support in Key Stage 2, full-time for the academic year.

These roles are ideal for an aspiring primary school teacher who is looking for classroom experience before starting their teacher training.

***Graduates with 2:1 or above Hons degree are required
***Full-time contract - 5 days per week

We are looking for an inspirational graduate who has worked with children in either a volunteer or paid role and at least received a 2:1 in your degree. You will have the drive to motivate and inspire a class of mixed-ability pupils. This vacancy is open to those who have an enthusiastic character that will rub off on their students making every lesson fun and engaging.

In this Graduate Teaching Assistant position, you will be assigned to a class in Key Stage 2 and you will be assisting with the organising, planning, and preparation of lessons, learning valuable skills as you help to deliver outstanding lessons. You must have the skills to strike up good working relations with your pupils and inspire pupils to work hard. You will be a graduate who can use your enthusiastic character to engage pupils and contribute to extra-curricular activities.

The Headteacher wants graduates who can display a passion for education that ignites a love for learning amongst their pupils and to make or exceed expected levels of progress. You will be classroom based working on a 1:1 and small group basis and over time you will be able to get involved in intervention groups outside of the classroom.

Considered to be a cornerstone of the local community, this school is often the host of a multitude of events and activities. It is increasingly popular and now oversubscribed and earned a 'Good' Ofsted rating in its last inspection.
