Warehouse Team Leader A family business with a current annual turnover of over GBP15 million, currently have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Team Leader to join their busy team.As a Warehouse Team Leader you will be joining a company with a culture of fun and innovation, where we provide opportunities for achievement, and value the contribution of every single person. Although the Warehouse Team Leader role is initially a temporary contract for the Christmas period, there is a strong chance that the role could become permanent in January should you meet qualifying criteria.Your role as a team Leader is to help supervise Warehouse Operations ensuring an excellent quality of production where the customer receives their order, packed perfectly, on time.The Christmas period is a vital time for the company and as a Warehouse Team Leader you would be required to help manage a team of up to 15 temporary staff during the last quarter of the year, ensuring performance targets are met.What would my main duties be? Help train, supervise and lead a team of warehouse operatives to pick and pack orders for despatchHelp supervise staff using the engraving machinesHelp supervise staff framing our in-house postersHelp supervise staff gift-wrapping ordersLook at daily KPI's and ensure feedback is given to ensure staff reach KPI'sWork closely with the Goods In and Replen team to ensure shelves are replenished at the right timePrint ordersEnsure prioritised orders are ready for courier/Royal Mail collection and they have the relevant corresponding paperwork What do I need? Previous experience in a similar roleAbility to deliver clear and consistent training to new employeesExcellent communication skillsStrong organisational skillsStrong personable and motivational skillsWord, Excel and outlook skillsPositive outlook and a 'can do' attitudeAbility to work in a fast paced target led environment What can we do for you? A chance for a permanent position in JanuaryOpportunity to win prizes for hitting targetsA great working environment with great peopleStaff discounts on all products featured on the website Hours of work Sept & Oct: Mon - Fri: 8.30am to 4.30pm or 9am to 5pm From mid-November: 6am to 2pm shift or 2pm to 10pm shift4th December: A 10pm to 6am shift will be added (this pays an additional 20% shift supplement).We will also be working weekends from mid - November up to Christmas.Weekend only work also available from mid November Salary GBP8.50 - GBP10.50 per hour dependent on shift. Overtime is paid for hours exceeding 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday.
