Job Overview: Further to a successful campaign of business growth, we are working closely with one of our manufacturing partners to appoint two experienced Quality Engineers. EXPIRES 10/11/2017

It is a requirement that candidates have previous experience with Quality Control and engineering. Ideally, the successful candidate will possess a degree in Manufacturing, prior experience working in a manufacturing environment as well as the ability to operate comfortably with technology; Be that computer, computers, software, plastic, RP technologies, tooling etc.

Successful candidates will be responsible for working in a project team to establish and implement systems that ensure products conform to customer requirements. As Quality Engineer you will be expected to provide Quality Assurance technical expertise in support of manufacturing, seek continuous improvements in technique, analyse manufacturing efficiencies, provide data and report quality performance when required.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide Quality Assurance technical expertise in support of manufacturing. Identify issues and analyse the cost of poor quality.
• Continually seek to improve processes and manufacturing efficiencies in all areas of the business.
• Analyse manufacturing data to prioritise project work.
• Liaise with the Continual Improvement team regarding new processes and projects.
• Liaise with Manufacturing Engineering department when required to implement process and equipment changes.
• Communicate improvement activity results - company wide.
• Maintain procedures for documentation of all products.
• Conduct Company training when required.
• Provide data and report quality performance when required.
• Ensure thorough investigation and execution of corrective and preventive actions associated with internal process, vendor, and audit findings.
• Support product transfers and new product introductions.
• Perform internal audits of the Quality System, and support external audits of the Quality System
• Provide assistance as needed to all departments of the company.
• Adhere to all quality and safety standards within the department.
• Continually seek to improve individual performance.
• Adhere to all company policies and operational procedures.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Skills / Knowledge
• Continual Improvement and Mechanical engineering background
• Knowledge of the plastics industry preferred
• Knowledge of ISO:9001
• Creative problem solving
• Strong business correspondence skills
• Demonstrate sound business judgment
• Ability to work well with all functional work groups within the company
• Independent, dependable, resourceful and self-motivated

Qualifications / experience:
• Engineering degree preferred
• Previous experience of manufacturing environment preferred
• MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with quality control or engineering
• Comfortable with technology (computers, software, plastic, RP technologies, tooling etc.)
• Mathematical aptitude
