An international broker has an opening for an Account Handler to work within their busy team handling corporate risks. Fee income will be anything from £5k upwards and the portfolio handled will include some client visits to maintain good relationships as well as providing technical and general advice.

Key duties are as follows:

Manage a client portfolio, maintain agreed service levels and relationships with individual clients.
Day to day client administration including dealing with queries, liaising with account executives and producing/checking/issuing documentation to the client within required timelines.
Ensure that all statutory and company regulation are followed to protect clients, colleagues and the business interests of the Company.
Maintain an in-depth level of product and regulatory knowledge appropriate to the role.
Manage the client renewal process including information gathering, agreeing renewal strategy with team, production of market presentations, negotiations with insurers, cover comparisons and production of the renewal report.
Broking Skills - To effectively negotiate with Insurance market to obtain best terms for clients.

It is essential that candidates have an insurance background with exposure to handling corporate client business or at least large SME. Industry qualifications are desired along with excellent organisational skills.
