The main purpose of the role is to be a key member of the Regional Commercial Team in delivering profitability for the region through procurement, cost planning, control, and general commercial input through the development process.

To understand, implement and adhere to SHEQ policy and strategy.

Key Account abilities:

1.Increase Trade Contractor Base

1.1- Identify new Trade Contractor Partners:
- Meet and explain the Homes culture and all-risk' packaging
- Obtain prices on standard house types on partnering agreement

1.2- Improve relationships with existing Trade Contractors, resolve issues that may arise and communicate requirements

2. 'All-risk' Civil Engineering Procurement

2.1- Tender for all risk' Road, Sewers and Plot works:
- Negotiate best value packages
- Present for approval

3.New Site Starts

3.1 - Upon provision of technical information procure work packages and pass information to buying department for scheduling and order placement

3.2 - Compile and present SSB to Commercial Manager, Central Commercial Management for approval

3.3 - Create sub contract comparisons for sign off

3.4 - Hold and lead pre start meetings with sub contractors and issue arising minutes

3.5 - Upload budget to COINS systems

3.6 - Issue sub contract orders with associated PAVs and schedules

3.7 - Placement of plant orders upon receipt of requisition

4. Cost Management

4.1 - Upon provision of sufficient technical information procure packages and produce robust SSB

4.2 - Provide information to buying department for scheduling and placement of material orders

4.3 - Obtain plant requisitions and place subsequent orders

4.4 - Produce detailed cost plan for inclusion with Cap Ex 2'

4.5 - Produce pre-start budget

5. Monitor & Control Build Costs

5.1 - Cost-to-complete' reporting

5.2 - Support and assist as necessary with the group drive for efficiency savings

5.3 - Provide commercial input to innovations

5.4 - Ensure trade specifications are current and comply with building regulations

Skills and Attributes:

Ability to work remotely

First rate communication and influencing skills

Good at developing relationships

Flexible able to work at all levels and at hands on level

Proven written communication skills

Excellent level of numeracy

Computer literate in MS Office

Previous experience of building relationships with clients/customers

IT skills including Microsoft packages (advanced knowledge)
