Registered Manager - Start Up Children Home - Lichfield

Dove Resourcing is supported a brand new business in their search for a Registered Manager to open a new EBD children’s home in Staffordshire.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved with a business in its infancy, supporting the directors to build a new service. You will be an experienced registered manager with the passion to be involved in a project from the outset with long term scope to develop into a service / regional manager.

The home is a 4-bedroom property and will be supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural difficulties. The successful applicant will join to go through the registration process with Ofsted and support the business owners with company documents like statement of purpose & policies / procedures.

The business is owned by an individual whom is experienced within residential childcare and wants to achieve positive outcomes for the young people in care. This will be achieved through delivering an authentic parenting model in the service.

As the Registered Manager you will be expected to;

  • Implement quality driven ethos and ensure this filters across the whole service.
  • Be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant Children home legislation and quality standards.
  • Liaise with the managing director to help formulate strategies for improvement and development within the organisation.
  • Achieve good / outstanding outcomes with Ofsted
  • Be a positive role model for both your staff team as well as the young people in the service.
  • Have a proactive 'can-do’ approach and be involved with all aspects of running the service.

To be considered you must have an extensive track record of working with a children’s home delivering positive outcomes with Ofsted. You will have significant leadership skills and have operated as a deputy or registered manager in a children’s home previously.

To be considered you must hold a Level 5 diploma in Children and young people workforce or equivalent.

All applicants must be able to drive.

Salary will be subject to experience but will likely be in the vicinity of £32-40k. Inclusive of the bonus structure - however there is scope for development in line with business growth.
