Are you an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer who is looking for a challenging new opportunity, and are based in close proximity to Birmingham, looking for a £30000 - £35000k salary? The Client Our client is an ambitious and highly technical MEP Consulting Engineers who have several offices across the UK and have also recently opened their first European office. They have recently won several new tenders within the building services sector and are currently looking to recruit an ambitious Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer within their Midlands Office to help build on their long extensive success in the UK. This is a fantastic organisation that work differently than their competitors and are well known in the industry. This is a role for someone adaptable, ambitious, hard working, loyal and trustworthy and ready for a fast paced building services consulting role that offers something unique and exciting. Key Responsibilities: - Carry out detailed design and calculations in accordance with industry guides. - Assist and prepare specifications, reports and drawings to the design programme. - Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the - Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams - Directly advising clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint - Using Dialux, Relux or Dialux EVO to produce lighting designs. Key Skills and Experience - CEng (Chartered Engineer) or Professional Registered working toward CEng in 6 months. - Electrical engineering or Building Services Degree with electrical bias - At least 5 years' experience in a building design engineering capacity within the UK and/or - Internationally - Evident experience in a consulting engineering environment working across a broad range of projects - Ability and willingness to take responsibility for excellent design delivery - Ability to solve technical problems and how these might make a positive impact on a project. - A professional outlook, able to work on your own initiative to meet internal and external deadlines - Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. - Working knowledge of CAD software, ideally teamed with familiarity with AMTECH and DIALAX - Knowledge of REVIT software.
