Position: Site Co-Pack Manager
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday (Days)
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

As a Site Co-Pack Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that you maximise the performance of the operation by directing the daily, weekly and monthly activities; providing leadership, motivation, training and development of the workforce, executing against customer requirements, operational performance and "making DHL a great place to work". To provide added value quality products through the most COST EFFECTIVE operation which delivers the right SERVICE level to meet the needs of this key client. This is to be achieved through key operational, commercial and human resources objectives. The successful candidate will help DHL deliver growth with this key customer
Key Responsibilities in this role will include;
Budget management and P&L responsibility for the Co-Pack operation
Delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) agreed with the Site General Manager
Effective leadership and management of the operational and administration teams
Delivery of a safe, secure, clean and fair work environment for team members and visitors
Team building and morale management to support low staff turnover, talent development, agency retention etc
Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
Responsibility for all issues relating to Health & Safety and the Environment
Maximise accuracy, productivity and space utilization
Translate, analyse and deliver customer needs through effective operations
Facilities and Equipment Management
Ensure daily/weekly workload planning and volume forecasting routines are accomplished
(i.e. staffing, equipment, space)
Use of DHL tools such as CQC and MIS to efectively quote for work and report on operational and commercial performance
Ensuring all targets are met with regard to customer service, quality standards, hygiene, health and safety
Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place to deliver to cost, quality and service parameters.
Help to establish a strategic site plan and implement the necessary tactical plan for the production facility.
Develop site management team to perform and grow in their roles.
Continuously improving the performance of the operating team, enabling a rapid reponse to fluctuating volumes and new product opportunities.
Liaise with Account Managers to satisfy customer processing and delivery requirements and identify opportunities to improve.
Financial responsibility for the site activity in terms of budget controls, operational performance and cost base, achievement of all KPI's.
People planning and career development aligned to site plans
Overall Customer Service for the production facilities at Coventry
Key skills and experience in this role will include:
Key performance indicator development
Preventative maintenance routines
1-2 years logistics industry experience
3 years management experience
Site Management experience in FMCG arena
Experience of project management in FMCG arena
Experience in MRP management systems
Experience of setting up new business processes and procedures
Experience in shift setting and pay
Experience of setting up/operating modern production techniques
Systems and process set-up and change
Exposure to OEE's and KPI's
Interest in professional and continual development
Experience/strong interest in IT
High level of honesty and integrity
Analytical and accurate

Good business communicator
