But, without a trusty IT Project Manager there to take each of those plans under their wings and see them through from the very start, it all ends up as, well, a bit of a dud. So you'll make sure we always deliver the magic.

The Role

With an excellent understanding of retail, ERP (preferably Oracle) and Multi-Channel systems and environments you'll be a dab hand at overseeing all aspects of complex IT projects and it will be your job to manage their scoping, planning and delivery. This will involve tracking progress and managing timelines, milestones, risks and resources. Leading people with a variety of different skills, your resources will come from IT, other business areas and third party systems integrators. So, you'll be busy managing communications with them, other stakeholders and the affected parts of the company too. And thanks to your excellent ability to multi-task, you'll successfully complete your projects on time, to budget and quality standards.

The Person

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMP Certification
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile methods and working practices
  • Good understanding of retail, ERP (preferably Oracle) and Multi-Channel systems and environments
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrable project management experience
  • Cross-functional working
  • Proven experience delivering projects across IT and business landscapes
  • Experience of influencing senior management and stakeholders
  • Proven relationship building skills at all levels of the organisation and with System Integrators
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal up to exec level
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Project management skills at an advanced level; managing and controlling multiple concurrent projects
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding the full project lifecycle
  • Effective leadership and organisational skills
  • Effective coaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong team player, dynamic and self-motivated
  • Project planning using MS Project or equivalent software tools
  • Effective facilitation and negotiating skills including reaching consensus and managing conflicting opinions
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and manage own workload to meet project deadlines
  • Good understanding of retail, ERP (preferably Oracle) and Multi-Channel systems and environments
  • Managing and controlling project change control
