Our clients, a market-leader in their field and based near Evesham / Broadway are recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Operations Director the successful candidate will be responsible for x2 material buyers and for the stores/warehouse team x6.

Main duties include :

  • Working with suppliers to ensure the smooth delivery of parts
  • Actioning MRP reports and placing orders accordingly
  • Managing the MRP system
  • Ordering consumables and supplies for various departments
  • Keeping stock holdings to a minimum whilst keeping the production line functioning efficiently
  • Providing support to the stores manager
  • Staff recruitment when required
  • Attending weekly production meetings

The Person:

  • Experience working in a similar role as a Purchasing Manager in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent man-management skills
  • Experience of warehousing systems
  • Tenacious and able to think outside of the box
  • Flexible, team player
  • Adaptable and able to use initiative

Salary: GBPneg. dep. on experience + company benefits

Hours: Full-time
