For this Teaching Assistant - Science role you will be an enthusiastic science graduate who has a second class degree at the very least and a passionate approach based on their own love of learning. You should have the willingness to contribute fully to the whole of school life, even staying for after school clubs when necessary. This role will be focusing on supporting students as they prepare for GCSE’s, this will involve working both with small groups and individual pupils from 11-16 who require extra support to attain accepted performance levels.
In your role as a Teaching Assistant, you will be working solely within the school’s Science department helping support pupils on the C-D borderlines, mid-range and the talented & gifted. You will be required to embrace the school’s ethos, learn from the staff around you, and utilise your own initiative to provide excellent classroom support and aid in the development of those pupils you support.
