A Project Quantity Surveyor vacancy has come available with one of the county's leading independent builders. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company who pride themselves on service, quality and distinction of their work.

Roles and Responsibilities

The Project Quantity Surveyor will be allocated a number of current and future new sites for which they will be fully responsible they will also be responisible for the management of Assistant Quantity Surveyor and the following:

Recruitment
Instruction
Training
Motivation
Appraisals
Discipline

You will provide Cost Reporting. Carrying out Monthly Project valuations for all allocated projects. Produce accurate monthly cost reports for the Managing Quantity Surveyor and will be working closely with the site team to understand and communicate project cost issues including encouraging the site team to issue variations

Bills of Quantities, Timely production, Accuracy of description, Updated to current costs and quotes. Amend bills of quantities to allow for company, subcontract, site and sales variations: Drawing amendments, specification changes, material and subcontract price variations and Omissions and errors

You will also be tasked with control over Subcontract Supply and Fix Labour, Enquiries, Health & Safety and commercial checks, Price negotiation
Placing orders, Attending initial start-up and progress meetings as required and Invoice checking and payment

Specialist Subcontractor Enquiries, Instruction and coordination: Ground Improvement Piling, Vibro etc. Asbestos & Demolition
Yopu will look after Direct and Labour Only Subcontractors, Issuing works orders, Checking and payment of timesheets, ensuring correct coding and
recording and issuing variation orders on unpriced day works

Involved with Sales. providing costed Sales Variations & processing agreed Sales Variations
