Where you'll work
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to provide technical project support and business development to help the energy business grow.
The role is based within our Technical Direction department which is the largest and most diverse area of Veolia UK offering fantastic development opportunities and exciting challenges.
What you'll do
Your principal responsibilities will be to develop and deliver projects within the energy business with the highest levels of customer service delivery, cost efficiency and health and safety compliance at all times. You will meet client and survey sites to co-design energy production solutions (CHP, Steam, LTHW, Chilled Water, ???) that meet requirements for resilience, performance and life cycle cost.
Another aspect of the role will see you produce proposals for new works including accurate costing models and price estimations, design, and key deliverable dates to ensure customer satisfaction.
In addition, you'll oversee design work for new and existing projects, working collaboratively with the in-house function to ensure the brief is met within the required time frame.
You'll also manage projects in accordance with the Veolia Governance to deliver on time, on scope, within budget and without any compromise on H&S, by managing the site contractors, liaising with the client and providing regular feedback to the Veolia management, from site mobilisation to construction, snagging and handover to Operations.
The position will allow you to build strong and productive relationships both internally and externally to support business growth including identifying viable opportunities for new works and cross-selling where possible
What you'll need to know
We're looking for a qualified engineer in the Mechanical field with experience of the energy industry particularly energy, power and utilities essential (steam raising, CHP, compressed air, chilled water)
You'll be able to articulate a good understanding of design concepts to support the in-house team with proposals
Your strong health and safety knowledge to cultivate the "think safe, work safe, home safe" culture within Veolia will be greatly valued
We expect you to be commercially astute with experience of costing models and estimation essential
In addition, we need a creative, solution orientated thinker with Technical Optioneering experience in a client facing capacity
You'll also need to be capable relationship builder to support the business in delivering growth
