An International Manufacturing Company are currently looking for a Maintenance Service Technician to join them immediately based in Stoke on Trent.
The ideal candidate would be mechanically minded know your spanner from your screwdriver, training will be given for the right enthusiastic person.

Primary Function:
The job holder will be responsible for the operation and setting of designated machines, together with other maintenance duties as and when directed by the Assistant Engineer.

Responsibilities include:
•General site maintenance duties, including painting, oiling and greasing as and when directed by the Assistant Engineer.
•Working under the guidance and supervision of skilled personnel, as and when requested with a goal of continual improvement and working towards fault finding and repairs to machines and systems.
•Machine system checks as in accordance with set engineering procedures.
•Planned preventative maintenance as directed by the Assistant Engineer.
•Maintaining optimum efficiency from designated machines, through effective set-up to include, guide width and height settings, machine speeds, product temperature and general knowledge, component handling using own initiative.
•Machine size and product changes, incorporating clean downs to set standards.
•Maintaining set quality standards.
•Liaise and co-operate fully with production supervision to ensure smooth running of the machine.
•Perform general labouring duties as and when requested by supervision, ensuring good housekeeping at all times.
•Ensure all waste materials are disposed of according to current, best work practice.
•The maintenance service technician must provide cover for absent maintenance service technicians as and when directed by the Assistant Engineer.

Health and Safety:

Health and Safety issues would include:
•Complying with all relevant Health and Safety law.
•Complying with the company Health and Safety Policy.
•Correct use of the machinery log book system.
•Correct use of the permit to work system.
•Correct use of the guard safety check system.
•To work in compliance with current standard codes of practice and within set safety guidelines.

On going training; as directed by the Engineering Manager.

Assist the supervisory teams in the continual production improvement requirements, as and when the business dictates.

Hours of Work: Mon Fri 8.30 am 5:00pm
Fri 08:30am -1pm

Pay Rate: GBP8:00 - GBP8:80 DOE
