  • A minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience (not necessarily food)
  • GBP35k plus overtime at 1.5.
  • 28 days holiday, pro rata(22.5) rising to 33 days pro rata after 5 years

    The Company

    An opportunity has arisen to join an exceptionally successful FMCG manufacturer based in the West Midlands. They are the largest independent manufacturer and supplier of their product to the foodservice market, whilst also supplying the retail sector. As a large and independent business with international backing, they are dedicated to providing their product at its best. They are currently looking for a positive, confident, and proactive, Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, with an electrical bias, to join their current dedicated team.

    The Role

    Being responsible to the Engineering Manager/Lead Engineers, in this role, you will be expected to provide a proactive approach to the prevention of equipment failure and ensuring the scheduled PM is carried out as planned.
    Ensuring quality, waste and efficiency targets are met by working as an integral part of the manufacturing team, following all Health & Safety procedures at all times.
    This role will have you working closely with production teams (Leads and operators and shift supervisors) ensuring that handovers are smooth and efficient whilst sharing relevant information with other shift engineers.

    The Candidate

    You must have clear knowledge within manufacturing (Doesnt have to be food) This is a multi-skilled position with a strong electrical expectation (17th Edition is desirable) however, you must also have clear mechanical skills and previous manufacturing experience is essential.
    You must be a positive and driven individual, punctual and proactive with a clear ?????can do???????? attitude. It is essential you are practical and motivated with the desire to ensure all site processing equipment is running at its optimum performance.
    Expected competencies will be; accountability and execution, clear customer focus, teamwork and cooperation. The candidate must have the ability to work well within a team, using their own initiative and under pressure. You must be computer literate and have basic hygiene and health and safety skills.
