Who is our client?

Our client, are a small independent business founded over 10 years ago, who specialise in luxury confectionery. They Source their products from all over the UK and Europe, and are known for their exceptional reputation for both product quality and service. They sell to a range of independent traders such as farm shops, Garden centres and local customer attractions.

An overview of the role?

Due to continued expansion, our client are now looking to take on a Field Sales Account Manager

Job Purpose

Developing existing business, by ensuring the principles that outline the company's success are applied and successfully selling in new ranges.
Working collaboratively with an office based territory sales partner to deliver sales and outstanding service.
Obtaining orders for new lines from existing and new customers
Acquiring new business, who trade in our target market sectors.


Achieve "new business" by opening new accounts of the right quality and within agreed market sectors.
Act as an ambassador for the company .
Provide excellent, prompt customer service to customers and colleagues at all times.
Grow sales by extending the products and ensuring that customers implement well merchandised displays in high footfall areas
Improve "in-store" availability of our products by assessing existing merchandising and advising customer on improvements and location- all of which results in an order.
Deliver excellent customer service by building great customer relationships..

Who are we looking for?


Must have 5 years food / FMCG / Retail Experience.
Experience and Knowledge of the clients core markets (garden centres, farm shops, Visitor attractions)- advantageous
Can articulate and demonstrate knowledge of selling skills - must be able to close
Must have experience of managing a territory
Target driven and hungry for success

Job requirements

Will be expected to be on the road meeting customers 4.5 days per week
Lives on territory and close to motorway network.
Must be able to stay away from home at least 3 times in a month.
Attend Trade shows.
Full UK Driving License.
