We are a leading supplier of metal/body work primarily to the automotive Industry. Supplying to Range Rover, Jaguar and many more. We use a series of automated and semi-automated machines and a wide range of secondary operation CNC machinery at our foundry/assembly plant. We have a vacancy for a **Permanent Maintenance Hydraulic Engineer** to join our team.

As Maintenance Hydraulic Engineer - the ideal candidate will be mechanically minded and have an extensive knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems.

**Main Tasks & Requirements:**


* Demonstrate a **high level of skill** in **hydraulic systems** of the specified ranges of equipment listed:

**Presses & Furnaces, CNC Machine & Assembly Equipment, Services & Plant, Lubrication Systems, Fabrication & Welding, Pipework installation & Repairs, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic Systems, TPM**

* A real in depth knowledge of hydraulic systems - able to read drawings/identify issues with machinery. Initiative and problem solving mentality is key
* Able to adhere to a high standard of safety and competence
* Good communication, literate & people skills. A good knowledge of Maintenance Management Systems, (Pirana) would be an advantage but not essential
* This position will operate on a standard day shift system, but will involve working across the operational shifts if required
* The role will support the Maintenance Manager
* Perform safety checks, following safe working procedures ensuring PPE is worn at all times
* Potentially train other in safe use & practices
* Additional duties include: Fortress lock off systems/MEWP


**The Ideal candidate should:**


* Be from a maintenance environment with a minimum of five years' experience - preferably with extensive hydraulic experience (possibly apprenticeship) in an Automotive Industrial environment
* Come from a background where root cause analysis and problem solving have been a key part of your current/previous role
* Be able to diagnose faults and repairs required in hydraulic systems.
* Have knowledge of Health and Safety issues relating to machines and their operation


**Desirable but not essential**

* City & Guilds Mechanical engineering, level 3. Or equivalent
* Electrical training would be an advantage


**Hours & Work:**

08:30-17:00 Mon-Thurs

08:30-14:30 Friday

Flexible working will be required
