Position Purpose: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CNC operator to join our team, we are an expanding UK based world leader in manufacturing Heat Exchangers, with our core strengths being quality and flexibility .
We are seeking a highly motivated individual ideally from a CNC machining industry to run our HAAS and Doosan machines, experience of working on these machines will be essential.
The operator will have opportunities to further expand their skills and be trained on other CNC machines as well as the programming / setting side, so any experience on Fanuc control system will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:
1: Ensure machine shop plan is followed / completed in the most efficient manner
2: Ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.
3: Maintain a safe working environment, enforcing and ensuring safe working practices are followed / used.
4: Collation of set-up and operation times for new and current parts going through the machine centre, these are to be passed to the Production planner on a weekly basis.
5: involvement in 5S activities to further advance the performance and working environment

Skills / Competencies
1: CNC operation on multiple centres
2: Setting and programming experience would be advantageous
3: Manual milling / drilling and lathe work would be advantageous
4: Communication skills
5: Pro-active / sense of urgency
6: Willingness to go the extra mile to achieve overall customer satisfaction
7: Excellent time and attendance record
8: Organisation
9: Flexible on working hours, shifts etc.
Education and experience:
1: Time served CNC on VMC and required centres (Haas, Doosan etc)
2: Possible Time served on Programming and setting CNC machine centres
3: Mechanical Engineering Diploma / certificate would be advantageous
4: 5S / Lean activities would be advantageous
