Registered Children's Home Manager required for a children's home based in Birmingham paying up to GBP40,000. Brand new service.

My client are an innovative and leading care provider of residential homes and education for young people with a variety of backgrounds, requirements and challenging behaviours.

We are looking to bring in an experienced and influential Registered Children's Home Manager to join my client and be the focal point in developing an Ofsted 'Outstanding' service, a strong and person-centred staff team and ethos and deliver positive outcomes to all the young people within.

The Registered Children's Home Manager must have

* QCF Level 5 Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
* Previous experience being registered with Ofsted as a Registered Manager
* Positive track record within Ofsted inspections (via inspection reports)
* Empathy and passion for vulnerable young people
* Experience building, motivating and developing a staff team

The Registered Children's Home Manager main responsibilities are to

* Register with Ofsted
* Lead the home through all Ofsted inspections
* Achieve minimum 'Good' in all inspections
* Promote independence and create a safe and nurturing environment
* Effectively recruit and retain staff
* Train, supervise, appraise and develop an effective staff team
* Liaise with families, local authorities and commissioners and external agencies
