Carpentry Lecturer Vacancy (.5 - Permanent)

I am currently working with a key client of mine to fill a part time permanent position as a carpentry lecturer which has just become available within their construction department. This role at present will be 2 and a half days per week however, if you are able to assess candidates on site there is potential that this could be made up to a full time role.

In this position you will be teaching carpentry in the workshop and classroom up to level 3. This role is predominantly theory based however, you will also be involved in practical work from time to time.

The ideal candidate will hold a level 3 qualification in carpentry coupled with previous experience both teaching and in industry. It is also preferable if you hold a teaching certificate i.e. DTLLS, PTLLS, Cert Ed, PGCE however, on this occasion the College will also consider taking someone directly from industry. This would be on the provisio that you will work towards a formal teaching qualification which the College will fund for you. Any other qualifications you hold including other trade certificates or assessor/IV awards will be taken into account and if you have recent experience teaching or assessing then this would definitely put you at an advantage.

The successful applicant will receive a starting salary of up to GBP32,000+ along with 35 days holiday and teachers pension scheme (pro rata).

This College, based in the midlands has strong transport links to Nottingham, Birmingham, Coventry and Leicester. The college offers courses across numerous different vocational areas and students benefit from excellent relationships that the college has built up and maintained with both local and national employers.

If you would like an opportunity to work with this college or would like to find out more about this role please email Matt a copy of your CV or call me ASAP on (Apply online only). This role is moving forward quickly and I would hate for you to miss out on this opportunity.
