The role is for a Shipping Administrator to work within a fast paced distribution environment within the order processing team. The role involves liaising with the customer service and warehouse teams, to ensure orders and deliveries go out on time. Customer focus and relationship building is crucial to ensure a strong service is provided 100% of the time.
Day to day tasks will include:
*Sorting all Pick slips ready for picking within the warehouse
*Acknowledging of Pick slips
*Shipping Quotations and Queries
*Booking of same day and next day freight deliveries
*Recording of freight costs
*Non invoicing report
*Previous experience within a distribution environment ideal but not essential.
*Confident in dealing with different departments through email and telephone systems.
*Experience in organising and prioritising your work load.
*A "get up and go" attitude and urgency when required.
The role is full time working Monday to Thursday, 10.45am - 7:15pm, and Friday 10:15am - 7:15pm. You will be paid between GBP16,500 and GBP17,500 per annum.
This is a temporary ongoing position, however there is a possibility it would lead to permanent employment.
You will be supporting the existing shipping department.
Canteen and parking facilities are available onsite.
