People Services Tax Senior Manager/Manager

KPMG’s People Services practice helps individuals and organisations to reduce their tax burden while meeting the very highest standards of compliance. Our experienced professionals work with clients to achieve a balanced position in critical areas such as effective tax rates, corporate reputation, pensions and executive remuneration.

The People Services practice covers a diverse range of services including:

Global Mobility Services - Our practice helps organisations to manage their globally mobile workforce and respond to the challenges and opportunities created by cross-border operations. As an international firm, we support more than 60,000 mobile employees/assignees in 800 organisations. In the UK, our team provides a single source of advisory and compliance experience covering all aspects of global mobility and international assignments. Our services range from major cost efficiency and risk reduction programmes to the completion of tax returns.

Employment Tax - The group helps clients manage payroll and expenses and benefits compliance and risk. We also take a wider view of reward and benefits aiming to transform our clients’ employee offering – potentially leading to improved engagement, cost efficient benefits provision and a reward proposition tailored to what our clients need.

Reward – The team are able to advise on all aspects of senior executive reward, helping companies recruit, incentivise and retain the senior executives and key employees necessary to deliver their business goals. Through a multi-disciplinary team we are able to advise on the tax, regulatory, accounting, market practice and corporate governance aspects of UK and global employee incentive plans, using both cash and equity based structures.

Tax Valuations – Our specialist team work with a broad spectrum of clients, from high net-worth individuals to large blue-chip corporates, in establishing the tax market value of shares, intangible assets and other business assets, using an array of valuation methodologies and techniques.

Flexible Benefits – Our emxsolutions team provide an end to end service to clients in relation to the implementation and ongoing management of flexible benefits schemes. Services provided include benefits design advice, communications, technology implementation and fully outsourced administration.

We are currently considering applications in our National Markets business across our Birmingham and Nottingham offices in the following areas of People Services:

- Employment tax
- Reward
- Global Mobility Services
- Tax Valuations
- Flexible Benefits

Qualifications and Skills

- Qualified CTA or ACA/CA or equivalent

Experience and Background

- Strong interpersonal skills in addition to strong oral and written communication skills
- Display technical strength in our specialist markets above
- Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude that translates across the team
- Displays an inclusive, collaborative approach and operates in a respectful manner with colleagues, clients and the wider community
- Brings insight and effectively applies knowledge to business and client problems

This role will suit an existing Senior Tax Manager or equally an established Tax Manager looking for a new challenge offering the prospect of promotion in the short term.
