Job Description
The Technology Risk Consulting team is an integral part of our rapidly growing National Markets Consulting practice. As a multi-disciplinary practice we deliver a comprehensive range of auditing, assurance and consulting services that our clients demand. Our ‘Tech Risk’ specialists deliver a range of propositions to our clients:

- The use of technology in the External Audit.
- Assurance of technology through Internal Audit.
- Assuring large complex IT enabled business change programmes.
- Assessment of IT capability and strategic alignment.
- Attestation over the use of technology at third parties.
- Advice on the management of technology risk.

Our core client base is predominantly medium to large corporates and the private sector.
These clients need to deal effectively with their operational risks, to achieve maximum value from their technology, data and processes and our Tech Risk specialists provide independent, jargon-free advice to help them achieve this potential.
We also work closely with other consulting teams, for example cyber security specialists, digital experts and technology strategists to ensure our clients receive the best possible advice.
The team works in an agile and flexible manner, with plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and gain new knowledge. We are keen to support and develop our people to enable them to be the best they can be.

Roles and Responsibilities

A successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Delivering value added audit (primarily external audit but with some internal audit), IT controls and assurance services to clients.
- Delivering value added assurance and advisory services to clients. These services may include independent programme assurance, IT due diligence, third party assurance, emerging technology risk, operational resilience.
- Managing end-to-end the delivery of a portfolio of complex assignments across all industry sectors.
- Building and managing excellent client relationships at C-Level – resulting in trusted advisor status.
- The scoping, internal financial management, managing delivery risk, production and review of client deliverables.
- Delivering high quality and efficient practices, and embedding innovation into our propositions.
- Managing business development activities such as proposal development, the IT elements of external audit tenders, and client presentations.
- Developing extensive internal networks and maintaining relationships with colleagues across other teams within KPMG to promote and develop the team.
- Performance management, formal coaching and developing junior team members.

Qualifications, Experience and Background

• Proven, in depth, experience of complex audit, risk and control / assurance / advisory environments.
- Proven experience of technology, programme delivery and risk management.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Demonstrable ability to develop excellent relationships both internally and with clients.
- Ability to perform in an autonomous, highly proactive style.
- Capacity to deliver work within tight timescales to a high quality.
- Experience of business analysis, system development, programme delivery, and change management.
- Proven experience in identifying and assessing complex risks and controls, to relate them to the wider business environment and to express opinions clearly at all levels.
- A good understanding of common technology platforms (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).
- Experience of working with methodologies such as COBIT, PRINCE 2 and ITIL.
- Recognised professional accounting or auditing (e.g. CIMA, CISA, ACA, IIA) qualification.
