Delivery Solution Architect (Architect, Support, Testing, ITIL, DataScientist) - Data Salary: 64,528 - 71,500 Location: Telford Regular travel to Newcastle will be required as part of this role. We are expanding our Case Management DeliveryGroup and are recruiting into a number of posts within the Revenue &Customs Digital Technology Service in Telfordbr /> The role will be responsible for the overall design of the dataarchitecture across multiple divisions and data types (big data, datascience, structured, semi-structured and unstructured), balancing theneed for access against security and performance requirements. This rolewill have key input into the enterprise information architectureincluding data roadmap design, access, usage and stewardship. Theposition also requires an understanding of emerging regulatory issuessurrounding information assets (such as consumer privacy laws, dataretention, outsourced data and specific industry guidelines). The rolewill also consider the development or use of process models, creation oruse of information or target data models, interface designs, andtechnical alignment of solutions, security and quality of informationassets. Essential Knowledge, Criteria and Skills Expert level datamodelling, conceptual through to physical, relational, object,analytical and NoSQL. At least 10 years data modelling experience in asoftware engineering environment. Expert level in the creation andmaintenance of enterprise data artefacts. Highly motivated withexperience of selecting and working with data and data tools. Experience of canonical modelling. Capable of engaging seniorstakeholders. Capable of developing and maintaining strong workingrelationships within the organisation and third party suppliers. Ableto manage their time effectively and work proactively across projects aswell as BAU tasks. Written and verbal skills to enable them tocommunicate complex data and information problems and solutions. Experience of developing data strategies, policies and standards. TOGAF Practitioner. Highly proficient in at least one query languagefor each of the following: relational; analytical; NoSQL. Proveninnovator with proficient software engineering skills to prototyperelational; analytical; NoSQL solutions. Practical experience ingeospatial data design. Desirable Understanding of project managementand business analysis activities. Practical Line Management and/orResource Management experience.
