Senior Network Support Engineer Location: Telford Salary: 44,000 - 48,510 With 60000+ staff and 50m customers, HMRC is one of the biggestorganisations in the UK, running the largest digital operation inGovernment and one of the biggest IT estates in Europe. We are expanding our Service Operations DeliveryGroup and are recruiting into a number of posts within the Revenue&Customs Digital Technology Service in Telford. Summary of the role: HMRC has an in-house Networks Operations Centre (NOC) that is made upof Associate, Intermediate and Senior Engineers and an Incident QueueManagement/Network Analysis function. This role is for a seniorengineer, which is the advanced level technical role for the team. Responsibilities include: Incident resolution, root cause analysis, monitoring, trafficanalysis/reporting and service improvement of Advanced IP networking(VLANs,HSRP, OSPF,BGP,MPLS-layer 2/3 switching,QoS, VPNs) and securityinfrastructure across multiple vendors Problem solving in network technologies and have an understanding ofthe ITIL 3 framework Leading associate/intermediate engineers in the complex, highpriority and major incidents.
