Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Warwickshire
2/2/3 Days/Nights (12 hours shifts)
£40K + Benefits Package
To carry out corrective and planned activities across the complete range of machinery and ancillary equipment and support the manufacturing function in achieving plant optimisation and utilisation whilst maintaining engineering and process standards.
1.Carry out corrective maintenance to all machines and ancillary equipment in line with legislative and best practice guidelines
2.Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with the procedure, legislative and best practice guidelines.
3.Ensure corrective actions are to required standard and where this is not possible report remedial work required to the appropriate supervision.
4.Record all abnormal conditions with regards to equipment to ensure PPM routines reflect issues.
5.Identify areas of improvements and where possible carry out improvements to remedy downtime and breakdown issues.
6.Process adjustments to overcome quality issues ensuring machine settings achieve optimum quality and output.
7.Ensure integrity of process is maintained in-line with set parameters and productivity requirements.
8.Ensure all records (Mainsave & Handover logs) are updates in line with changes.
9.Carry out detailed shift handover to appropriate team leader/engineer reporting on maintenance issues requiring further work or investigation and that all spares used are reported and booked out accordingly.
10.Complete production handover following engineering interventions.
11.Keep working area tidy at all times and ensure that the work area is left clean and tidy and free form debris, all spillages are removed from the area after completion of work and that all foreign matter around machinery following work are bagged and disposed of.
12.Lead and be part of engineering teams to achieve specific engineering improvements working with other groups to ensure seamless transfer of Capital projects into production ensuring optimisation of plant and equipment by means of continuous improvement to reduce downtime whilst maintaining process efficiency.
13.Meet health and safety requirements as specified in the Health & Safety policy in particular with regards to machinery, control systems and guards etc.
14.Carry out other duties as required and requested by line manager in line with the job purpose.
Job Specific Skills / Knowledge
Experience as an Industrial Electrical Engineer and competence in fault finding on Relay Logic panels as well as PLC control would be a definite advantage.
Knowledge of compressed air/chilled water plant is also required.
Knowledge of boilers would be useful but not essential.
