Your new role
The Head of Professional Audit is responsible for enabling the organisation to meet its obligations to deliver effective self-regulation, specifically by delivering high quality, transparent robust regulatory compliance reports. They are currently building up their regulatory capability, including making substantial investment in the team in order to ensure they can deliver effective regulation. The purpose of this job is to provide strategic leadership and direction across the Professional Audit team. Supporting the development of technical standards working closely with senior manager's internal stakeholders and other Industry stakeholders to safeguard and develop the' regulatory model. This will include defining requirements for training, product development and defining the strategy for a risk led compliance model. Core duties will include:
- Take overall responsibility for formulating the regulatory activity, for Valuation, Client Money various other schemes.
- Lead the regulatory remote audit teams approach to monitoring key risks particularly identification of Competence / Conflict of Interest matters and work with senior managers, policy makers to identify emerging UK and EU legislation which affects the organisation.
- Forge strategic relationships with other departments and industry groups to ensure effective exchange of data, and regulatory intelligence, developing and maintaining appropriate information systems to support this.
- Responsible for financial planning, forecasting and budget management for the relevant cost centre
What you'll need to succeed
